Some of the Scouts' High Points from
their week on the Island 2017:
I love serving in the Honor Guard and helping, standing on duty is so fun because I get to meet different people. Also hanging out with these girls is so fun and you make great memories. The food is also amazing.
So many girls just welcomed me without a second thought and the history of the area was so cool it gave me chills.
It was really fun! I liked how every day there were different things that we could do if we were not on duty to keep us busy. I also liked meeting all new people, everyone was really nice and friendly and in general the whole atmosphere of the camp was happy and positive.
The island is a second home.
My "big sister," Lee, was always willing to help me and I felt at home. Secret pal gifts were great and I liked the world map contest to keep us motivated on duty and get rewarded for a job well done. I made lots of new friends and enjoyed busy day. I loved the Lilac Festival Parade!
It is very well organized. The girls are fun to be around. Talking to tourists is great. The memories last a lifetime.
I got to meet new people, new friends, do activities I don't usually do, hang out with new friends, and just enjoy the Mackinac State Park.

I love the program and what it stands for.
It is always such a fun and exciting place, and every time I come, I make a new friend or got to a new place. I love the whole time on the island and everything about the week is so amazing and fun. The people here are great, and all of the things we do here are some thing I might never get to do anywhere else.
I have met so many new people each year and feel more connected to the troop the longer I stay here and I truly enjoy it. It also helped me to take charge in small areas to help prep me for any future leadership positions I may throughout my life.
Duty was not bad at all, free time was so much fun, and I made incredibly beautiful bonds with so many people. I felt s welcomed, evening program was awesome, food was delicious, busy day was a blast, I loved my flag and so, so, so, much more.
The program and opportunities are so cool. I love being able to meet new people and learn new things while staying in a place I love. Also, I think group living is super fun.
It's unique in that it offers once in a lifetime opportunities to explore Mackinac Island. It isn't just work and there is a lot of time to get to know the other scouts and explore the island.
It is something I look forward to every year. This year was especially amazing because I was joined by my cousin. I love growing with this patrol and my 3rd year has been my favorite so far. This is thanks to the amazing friends I have made and the awesome program I am a part of.
